Astra couldn’t imagine anything worse than being an amnesiac inmate in a filthy subterranean prison—until a debonair stranger rescues her and informs her that she’s not only a wealthy debutante, but also a convicted terrorist.

Hoping to right the wrongs of her past, Astra joins a clandestine order whose main objective is to vindicate those born with supernatural abilities by taking down their oppressor—the infamous senator and criminal kingpin, Aponte Verus. When Astra is tasked with seducing Verus for intel, she becomes entangled in a treacherous game of secrets and espionage which leads to her discovery of an even bigger threat—the impending failure of the city’s protective dome.

Far outside the city’s walls, the seer of a nomadic tribe has heralded the coming of the Stormbreaker—a prophesied messiah with superhuman power who will save them all from the arid wasteland.

When Astra’s friend and fellow fugitive miraculously reappears at the city gate, bent on rescuing the tribespeople at all costs, Astra must decide whether to allow Verus and his corrupt city to fall to ruin, or join the Stormbreaker to become its savior.
